Notice: Suspension of Certified Auditors

The public is hereby informed that the following audit firms and auditors do not hold practising certificates for 2026 and should, therefore, not render any audit and assurance services:

a. Auditors and Firms without valid practising certificates for 2026

b. Auditor and Firm suspended from practice until further notice

The Public is further informed that auditor Mr. Nelson Muzimbawake, has been suspended from practising as a Certified Auditor until further notice. Consequently, the Audit Firm SRC Associates, under which he practised, is not allowed to take on audit and assurance clients, as Mr. Muzimbawake is not eligible to carry on audit/assurance work and cannot sign audit opinions.

Any change in the status of the above auditors and firms will be communicated to the Public.

The Public should refer to the list of auditors provided on the Authority’s website at www.baoa.org.bw for auditors and firms which are in good standing, and should always require the service provider to produce a valid certificate of registration with the Authority prior to engaging the service provider for audit services.
